Helping

The wheels of the parish of Chobham and Valley End are kept oiled by a small army of people who give their time to carry out the many tasks essential to the running of two churches.

 

Tasks include:

If you are inspired to help in any of these ways please contact Chris Bedford or the Churchwardens.

 

Giving

Welcome
Cleaning, flower arranging and laundering altar linen
Assisting during services at the altar, reading the Bible and leading the prayers
Making coffee, catering
Administration, secretarial tasks, book-keeping, accountancy and counting the collection
Serving on the Parochial Church Council
Visiting people in hospital and at home
Writing, designing and distributing the parish magazine, maintaining the website
Providing a service as vergers at weddings and funerals
Making music and bell-ringing
Giving lifts to those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend church
Organising activities for children
And last but certainly not least, the important job of welcoming people to our services and handing out the hymn books!
