Guildford Cathedral Link

Guildford is Surrey’s cathedral, the mother church of the Guildford Diocese and a gathering place for people of all ages and from all walks of life.
It is a venue for a host of cultural and community events, as well as daily services of choral worship.
The cathedral, at Stag Hill was consecrated in 1961.
It is truly a “people’s cathedral” because a substantial part of the funds to complete
its construction was raised from a 2s 6d (12½p) appeal, supported by thousands of
people -
In 2011, the cathedral celebrated its 50th anniversary.
